Karlee and John’s desserts absolutely deserve their own moment, because this was easily one of the prettiest wedding dessert displays we’ve ever had the chance to put together! Rather than simply placing the desserts on a table, we treated the entire display as another part of the wedding design, carrying the colorful, garden-inspired details from their Salisbury House & Gardens wedding right into dessert.
The table was filled with an assortment of sweet treats, including their vintage-inspired “Just Married” wedding cake, cupcakes, mini cupcakes, cookies, and other bite-sized desserts. To make the display feel extra special, their florist had leftover bud vases, so we scattered them throughout the table in between the desserts. Each little arrangement brought in pops of pink, peach, orange, white, and greenery, making the sweets feel like they were nestled into a miniature garden.
One of our favorite tricks of the day was repurposing the large floral arrangements from the ceremony. After Karlee and John said “I do,” we moved those statement arrangements to the reception and used them to flank either end of the dessert table. It instantly elevated the entire display and gave those gorgeous florals a second life instead of allowing them to be enjoyed for only the ceremony.
