Taylor spent the morning getting ready surrounded by the people closest to her. The bright, neutral space was perfect for those classic getting-ready photos, from capturing her gorgeous wedding dress before she put it on to the final touches with her mom. We especially loved Taylor’s gown, with its fitted silhouette, textured detailing, plunging neckline, and delicate off-the-shoulder tulle sleeves. The outdoor ceremony space sits atop the rolling Iowa hills, creating a beautiful, open backdrop for exchanging vows. A long, paved walkway leads from the venue’s patio down to the ceremony site, giving couples a true aisle moment while also making the space incredibly guest-friendly. With permanent benches and loose gravel surrounding the walkway, there are no grassy or muddy areas guests have to navigate—a huge bonus when planning an outdoor wedding in Iowa.
For Taylor and Trevor’s ceremony, we kept the design simple and intentional to complement their elegant new money wedding aesthetic. Long-stemmed white floral buds were placed at varying heights along both sides of the aisle, creating an organic, garden-inspired look without taking away from the natural scenery surrounding The Exchange on Vine. The all-white florals tied beautifully into the neutral color palette seen throughout the rest of their wedding day.
And, of course, the ceremony wouldn’t have been complete without Taylor and Trevor’s two pups! Dressed in their little black-and-white tuxedos, they made their way down the aisle as the couple’s dog ring bearers and easily became one of the sweetest parts of the ceremony. Incorporating their dogs made the moment feel even more personal and was such a fun way to include two very important members of their family.

After Taylor and Trevor officially said “I do,” guests made their way inside The Exchange on Vine for cocktail hour—and this is where so many of the couple’s fun, personal details came to life. Their cocktail hour was the perfect combination of elevated and playful, fitting seamlessly into the timeless, modern aesthetic of their Riverside, Iowa wedding.
One of our favorite moments was Taylor and Trevor’s champagne tower. The newlyweds poured champagne together into a tower of coupe glasses, creating such a fun celebratory moment while also giving them another opportunity for some incredible photos. Taylor and Trevor also incorporated their pups throughout the reception details. Taylor and Trevor’s desserts needed their own highlight—and I’m sure you can see why! Their wedding desserts at The Exchange on Vine were almost too pretty to eat. Parinda Cupcakes did an incredible job creating delicate floral details across both the wedding cake and cupcakes, turning dessert into another intentional part of the couple’s overall wedding design.
The small white wedding cake featured intricate buttercream flowers with subtle touches of soft green, creating a delicate, romantic look that fit perfectly with Taylor and Trevor’s modern new money wedding aesthetic. Even the cake-cutting details were thoughtfully chosen, with personalized gold utensils engraved with their wedding date and new last name.
The coordinating cupcakes carried the floral design throughout the entire dessert display, each topped with its own beautifully piped flower. Parinda Cupcakes’ work is the literal definition of “looks too good to eat.” Rather than feeling like dessert was simply placed out at the end of dinner, these cakes became part of the décor themselves.

After Taylor and Trevor officially tied the knot, guests headed inside The Exchange on Vine for cocktail hour while the newlyweds slipped away for photos. Guests can easily grab a drink and mingle without ever feeling removed from the celebration, while the bar crowd stays contained instead of creating congestion throughout the reception space.

The venue takes care of hiring the bartenders and providing the alcohol, meaning couples have one less vendor—and one less DIY wedding-day task—to worry about. Once cocktail hour wrapped up, it was time to officially welcome Taylor and Trevor into their reception. The newlyweds made their grand entrance and kicked off the celebration with a champagne tower pour, followed by their first dance as husband and wife. From there, the evening flowed into cake cutting, heartfelt speeches and toasts, and dinner.
After everyone had enjoyed their meal, Taylor and Trevor shared their parent dances before the dance floor officially opened—and DJ DAS absolutely rocked the house! The rest of the night was filled with dancing, celebrating, and plenty of unforgettable moments with their favorite people.

The details are arguably one of our favorite parts of any wedding day because they’re always so different! Those smaller, intentional touches are what make a wedding feel personal to the couple, and Taylor and Trevor’s Exchange on Vine wedding was filled with details that were both beautiful and functional.
One of our favorites was the white parasols they provided for guests during their outdoor ceremony. Parasols are such a great addition to an outdoor Iowa wedding, giving guests a little extra shade while also adding to the overall aesthetic of the ceremony. But their purpose didn’t end there! We repurposed them for Taylor and Trevor’s wedding portraits, and the result was some of the most fun and editorial photos from the entire day. Don’t believe us? Just keep scrolling!

It ended up being the perfect reminder that even when the weather doesn’t cooperate exactly as planned, a great team can adjust—and you can still end up with absolutely incredible wedding photos.
